Supporting effective governance in a complex governance world

Saturday 29 February 2020 – Sandy Park, Exeter – 09:30 – 13:30

Expectations seem to be constantly increasing for all those involved in school governance. The latest Ofsted handbook (2019) asks, ‘whether leaders and those responsible for governance all understand their respective roles and perform these in a way that enhances the effectiveness of the school’.

This conference will offer thought provoking input on various aspects of effective governance. We will focus on the curriculum, finance and the sources of evidence available to governors and how to make best use of these and not forgetting our clerks who are critical to enabling governance efficacy.

The morning is intended to reinvigorate you in your role and challenge thinking. Let’s make sure that the time you give to governance is time well spent and has an impact on your effectiveness and the children and young people in your schools.
