Employment Status and IR35 Update – DCC Employment Status Check
Thank you for your help and support over the last few months with our updates to the way Local Authority schools deal with Employment Status and IR35. Since our launch to DCC departments on 2 September, we’ve completed over 500 checks.
The new process has already improved compliance across the council and we couldn’t do it without your help. Many of you have already sent us great feedback of how we can make things clearer and we’ve done our best to incorporate many of your ideas. With this in mind, the second version of the DCC employment status check will be live from 13 January 2020.
While we would have preferred not to have released a significant update so early on, recent HMRC changes have made this inevitable. The Payroll Compliance Team will update all available guidance to reflect the changes and give as much support as possible for you to adapt to the alterations.
