EXPIRED Changes to provision of specialist Resource Bases in maintained mainstream schools

We are reviewing the provision of special educational needs (SEN) resource bases in mainstream schools.

To promote inclusion, we want to have specialist skills and expertise within all mainstream schools.  By making changes to our resource base provision, we will be able to provide an equitable service for children and young people across the county and this will mean targeted and/or specialist support is available locally to meet the needs of a child or young person.

We are consulting on:

  • the closure of the Speech and Language Resource Base at Newtown Primary School, Exeter and
  • the closure of the Hearing Impairment Resource Base at East-the-Water Primary School, Bideford.

Full details available on-line via:

Closing date for responding to the consultation is 5pm on 22 February 2019.
