Teaching and assessing maths through rich learning experiences in all Key Stages

This course will explore how the aims of the National Curriculum for Mathematics can be a part of all maths lessons by focusing on conceptual understanding (mastery). Key aspects of the curriculum in all key stages will be examined in depth, with a focus on what children need to understand, how to support children to develop understanding, what misconceptions and wrong reasoning need to be exposed and how to asses understanding. The use of rich learning experiences and variation to support and deepen understanding will feature throughout the day.

Refreshments and lunch are provided.

Please see separate dates for each key stage
