Fordton Plain, Crediton – Resurfacing and Drainage
What are we doing?
We will be carrying out drainage repairs and carriageway resurfacing along Fordton Plain, Crediton from 26 October 2020, for approximately 8-10 weeks.
The work will include repairing damaged drains and replacing kerbs, followed by resurfacing the road.
What traffic restrictions will be in place?
Temporary traffic lights will be in place from 26 October for approximately 6-7 weeks to control the traffic whilst we carry out the drainage repairs. However, due to the width of the road and for the safety of the workforce, it may be necessary to close the road to through traffic for short periods to carry out some of this work, but this will be advertised in advance.
When will the road be closed?
It will be necessary to close the road during resurfacing operations, from 18 January 2021 for 2 weeks. During the closure a diversion route will be signed for traffic. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
Will parking be available?
We will need to restrict on-street parking along Fordton Plain during our operations. Alternative parking can be found adjacent to the railway station.
We appreciate that this work will cause disruption for local residents and businesses and we will endeavour to complete the work as quickly as possible.
