Roadworks

A3072 Cross Park Cross, Holsworthy

What are we doing?

We are resurfacing a section of the A3072 between the telecommunications depot and Cross Parks Cross just outside Holsworthy, as the road has reached the end of its serviceable life.

Prior to resurfacing, we are taking the opportunity to improve the existing surface water drainage, which will require traffic lights for a short section.

When is the work taking place?

Monday 3 June to Friday 14 June: 24hr traffic signals will be in place for a short section in the vicinity of the Simpson Valley Coarse and Trout Fishery.

Wednesday 19 June to Friday 21 June: during the hours of 7.30am and 5pm, the road will be closed between Anvil Corner and the junction with Waterloo Road.

Monday 24 June to Tuesday 25 June: during the hours of 7.30am and 5pm, the road will be closed between Waterloo Road and Coles Mill Bridge.

Please see the attached map for further information.

Why do we have to close the road?

We must ensure the safety of our workforce and the public, and in order to comply with our safety guidelines, we are unable to carry out this work without a road closure.

What is the diversion route?

Please see roadworks.org for the official diversion route, a separate diversion route will be provided for vehicles over 12ft.

How is local traffic being handled?

Access to residential properties and businesses will be permitted, although there may be a short delay until it is safe to pass. Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and retained firefighters.
