Data protection

• Please allow 20 working days’ notice for applications which are 1-10 calendar days’ (Standard).
• A minimum of 3 months’ notice is required for applications which are 11+ calendar days’ (Major).
• If you make the request with fewer than 20 working days’ notice, we may still grant the licence, but only for a genuine emergency which endangers life or is a risk to property.

1. I declare that the authorised activity will be undertaken in accordance with the specification, conditions and traffic management plan by qualified operatives.
2. If I am working on private property, I can confirm I have permission from the owner.
3. Any road closure application has been applied for separately.
4. I understand that I am responsible for signing and guarding and maintenance of the site in accordance with Chapter 8 and the Code of Practice for Safety at Street Works and Road Works for 24 hours a day.
5. I declare that my public liability insurance is current and cover is at least £5 million.
6. I can confirm I have at least one Chapter 8 accredited Operative (who will be on site at all times) and one Chapter 8 accredited Supervisor (who will be available if required), roles of which are held by two separate persons. Operatives erecting any traffic management are Chapter 8 accredited.
7. I have read and understood the conditions detailed on the website, and will adhere to all responsibilities, conditions and duties required by Devon County Council.
8. I am in a position of responsibility in relation to the activity proposed.
9. If this application is approved I will abide by the conditions and requirements of the County Council for the approved activity and will not commence works until I have received a licence of consent confirming the start and end date.
