Instow residents’ parking

Background

Devon County Council has consulted on proposed traffic measures to implement residents parking on Marine Parade and Lane End Road in Instow. This is in response to concerns raised by residents in this area, who are experiencing difficulties with the current on-street parking that is taking place.

The intention of the scheme is to ensure that residents will have priority to park within their own area, while also ensuring that the needs of other road users are recognised.

The consultation took started on 29 April 2021 and ran until 3 June 2021.

2022 Implementation

Following the statutory consultation in 2021, the North Devon Highways and Traffic Orders Committee at its meeting on 7 July 2021 and through subsequent discussions with the local Councillor has resolved to implement restrictions with minor amendments.

The works to implement the residents parking scheme have been commissioned and will come into force on 4 April 2022. A response has been sent to all those that commented now that the Traffic Order has been sealed.
