Vehicle crossing application (for contractors)

The following guidance details what you will need to know and the information you must be able to provide when completing your submission. Please take the time to read this as you will not be able to submit your application without the information detailed.

Contractor details

In order to process your application, we will need to know your:

  • company name
  • telephone number
  • email address


In relation to the site location we will need to know:

  • the address
  • if the proposed crossing is clear of street furniture and parking restrictions
  • if it is a vehicle crossing or access ramp
  • if it is new or existing

Please also provide a simple location plan or photo (jpg, gif or png) showing the location of the proposed crossing. If attaching a photo please make sure it is up to date.

Specification and proposed work

In relation to the proposed work we will need to know the:

  • proposed dates (we require 20 working days notice)
  • proposed traffic management
  • size of the driveway
  • specification and quantities for the site, including kerbs, materials, gravel trap and type of crossing
