{"id":940,"date":"2014-12-12T12:11:20","date_gmt":"2014-12-12T12:11:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/roadsandtransport\/make-a-request\/temporary-road-closure\/temporary-traffic-orders-for-works\/"},"modified":"2026-04-01T14:28:00","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T13:28:00","slug":"apply-temporary-traffic-restriction","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/roads-and-transport\/make-a-request\/temporary-traffic-restrictions\/apply-temporary-traffic-restriction\/","title":{"rendered":"Apply for a temporary traffic restriction"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"content-cta clearfix alert\" id=\"block_acf-block-69cd1d5d453c9\"><h3>Fees and charges 2026-27<\/h3>\n<p><strong>The following new fees and charges will be implemented on the 1 April 2026:<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) &#8211; a maximum of 3 roads or restrictions<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Providing 3 months notice: \u00a31600.00<\/li>\n<li>Providing less than 3 months notice but not less than 6 weeks: \u00a32400.00<\/li>\n<li>Extension: \u00a3850.00<\/li>\n<li>Each additional road or restriction: \u00a3220.00 (a maximum of 3 connecting roads or restrictions on one application)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice (TTRN) &#8211; a maximum of 3 roads or restrictions<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Providing 3 months notice: \u00a3850.00<\/li>\n<li>Providing less than 3 months but not less than 4 weeks: \u00a31300.00<\/li>\n<li>Emergency closure (up to 21 days): \u00a3850.00<\/li>\n<li>Each additional road or restriction: \u00a3220.00 (a maximum of 3 connecting roads or restrictions on one application)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>You can apply for temporary traffic restrictions if:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>your work is going to be carried out on or near the road<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>there is a likelihood of danger to the public<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>there is serious damage to the road which needs repairing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We need a minimum of three months\u2019 notice to introduce a temporary traffic restriction&nbsp;for planned work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your planned work will be longer than five days then you must apply for a temporary traffic regulation order (TTRO).
