Devon County Council has developed an interactive roadworks map to provide present, future and completed activity that is taking, or has taken, place on the highway network in Devon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To access the details on the map, you will need to add the map layers. This is done by using the blue icon attached to the search bar and then selecting the information you want to see<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Present activity<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Planned work<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Any work that is taking place on the highway, that has a roadworks notice, will be visible on this layer. This includes any work carried out by Devon County Council and our term maintenance contractor; Milestone Infrastructure Ltd or other framework contractors, private works and any work being undertaken by a utility company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Work that is not currently detailed includes our cyclic maintenance works such as gully cleaning and grass or verge cutting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reactive work<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Reactive work is defects that have been identified either through a public report or an inspection, such as pothole, obstruction or flooding. Any reactive works displayed within this layer have not yet been completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Future activity<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Proposed activity<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This work is at the proposal stage. Any work that is displayed is not yet confirmed, however, there is an intention for the work to take place.  It is a legal requirement for this work to be identified by the submission of a forward planning notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please be aware that the proposed activity does not guarantee that work detailed will take place as a number of factors could influence final work programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Planned activity<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This is work that has moved from the proposal stage and now has a confirmed start date. This is identified through the submission of an initial notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please be aware that although planned activity will take place, there are a few factors that may result in start and end dates changing, such as the weather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Completed work – last three months<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Completed work<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

All work, that was noticed, that has been undertaken and completed on the highway, within the last three months, are visible under this option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reactive work<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

All defects that have been completed in the last three months will be displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
