Phase 1a, completed in July 2018, comprised the construction of westbound entry and exit slip roads on the A361. Phase 1b, completed in October 2023, comprised the delivery of a new roundabout and link road connecting the slip roads to Blundell&#8217;s Road. A second phase of the project would complete the grade-separated junction through the construction of a bridge over the A361 and eastbound entry and exit slip roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The scheme was delivered to support the delivery of the Tiverton Eastern Urban Extension, which is allocated for between 1,580 and 1,830 new homes and at least 30,000 square metres of employment floorspace. The junction is intended to provide access to existing and future development and reduce the impact of traffic on Blundell&#8217;s Road and through Halberton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/devoncc.sharepoint.com\/:b:\/s\/PublicDocs\/Corporate\/IQAAKl-ZbLfLSITo8qycZ8IOASHua8pTXZVFc7bTF6d-Nos?e=QJROih\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/devoncc.sharepoint.com\/:b:\/s\/PublicDocs\/Corporate\/IQAAKl-ZbLfLSITo8qycZ8IOASHua8pTXZVFc7bTF6d-Nos?e=QJROih\" rel=\"noopener\">Tiverton Eastern Urban Extension (EUE) Access Junction \u2013 Phase 1 Monitoring Report<\/a> evaluates the extent to which Phase 1 has achieved these objectives.
