Before a request is made we recommend that a check is made to determine that a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/roads-and-transport\/traffic-information\/traffic-cameras-and-cctv\/\">CCTV camera is present in the location required<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Requests for locations that are not covered by our CCTV cameras may be charged an administrative fee in line with our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/roads-and-transport\/highways-traffic-management-refund-guidance\/\">refund guidance<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Making a request<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The request for a search and potential supply of CCTV footage should only be made by an insurance company or solicitor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Requests are submitted online. The following information is required:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Requestor name and email address<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Purpose of the request<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exact location<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Whether the request relates to a vehicle and\/or a road traffic collision (RTC), in which the following is required:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Vehicle make, model and colour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Direction of travel of vehicles involved<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Description of the incident<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Time frame of the incident<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Search and supply<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon receipt of an application, a payment link will be sent for the search fee. The search will not begin until payment has been received. This fee covers the costs of determining if relevant footage exists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the search has been undertaken, we will advise if there is footage available. If there is, a further payment link will be sent for the supply fee. Once received, arrangements will be made to release the footage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Council must be satisfied that the request is legitimate and genuine before releasing any footage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cost<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>CCTV search fee: \u00a3115.00<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supply fee: \u00a3108.00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Refunds may be issued in line with our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/roads-and-transport\/highways-traffic-management-refund-guidance\/\">refund guidance<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Timescales<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A payment link will be sent within 24 hours.
