Housing development direction signs may be permitted on the public highway where there is a clear traffic management need. These signs help drivers who are already looking for a development to find it safely and efficiently. They are not advertising signs and must not be used for marketing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Signs must be supplied and installed by a signage contractor and comply with current standards. Devon County Council, as the Highway Authority, manages these signs to protect road safety, minimise street clutter and ensure consistency across the network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An application covers up to six signs. If more than six signs are required, details can be included on the application form; however, an additional application fee will be charged for each additional group of up to six signs (or part thereof).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Upon receipt of your application, a payment link will be sent. The application will not be processed until payment has been received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
