It sets out the circumstances<br>under which refunds may be issued and the process for requesting them. Consumer applications<br>are not covered under this guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Refundable circumstances<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants may be eligible for a refund in the following situations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An application is withdrawn or cancelled before it has been fully processed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An incorrect application type has been submitted and has not been fully processed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The majority of applications will incur an administrative fee. Refund amounts vary depending on the type of application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nonrefundable circumstances<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Refunds will not be considered in the following cases:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The application has been fully processed, regardless of the decision.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The service has already been delivered.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A cancellation occurs after a decision has been made.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Errors by Highways<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Notwithstanding section 3, a full refund will be issued if Highways has:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Made a significant error.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Caused an unacceptable delay, which directly causes the work\/event to be cancelled or<br>deferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Refund process\/cancellation procedure<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To request a refund:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Contact the relevant team (details available on our \u201crequest it\u201d pages).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide your application reference and the reason for the refund.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Amendments to this guidance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Highways reserve the right to amend or update this guidance at any time.
