The vehicle should be registered at the business address.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eligible businesses can apply for up to three permits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First permit: \u00a335<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Second permit: \u00a375<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Third permit: \u00a3150<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Registered charities and supported living addresses can apply for permits at \u00a335 each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have already registered for an account to buy permits for your address, select the home page when MiPermit opens using the link below and buy additional permits via your account.  If you have not already registered at your address with MiPermit you can do so, as you buy your 1st permit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Business permit restrictions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you work from home, you cannot have both a resident permit and a business vehicle permit for the same address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They cannot be used by staff or owners to commute and park near their workplace address in a resident permit only zone. Permits are not available for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>New business premises<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Businesses operating from residential addresses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Properties where a change of use increases parking demand (e.g. short-term lets like Airbnb)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Business permits do <strong>not<\/strong> allow extra parking time or exemptions for loading\/unloading.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They are not issued to allow owners, managers, or staff to <strong>commute to and park<\/strong> near the business address in a residents&#8217; zone whilst at work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the County Council has declared a climate emergency and is working to reduce carbon emissions and improve air quality, as permits are migrated to digital permits, business parking permit holders are being asked to provide supporting evidence of an \u2018essential need\u2019 for their permit. Permits that have been previously used mainly to commute to a workplace and park whilst at work are unlikely to be allowed in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-dcc-primary-button\"><a onclick=\"dataLayer.push({&amp;apos;buttonEvent&amp;apos;: &amp;apos;Information page&amp;apos;});\" class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/secure.mipermit.com\/devon\/Register\/ProductRegister.aspx?PermitType=BUSINESS\" rel=\"noopener\">Click Here to Apply for, Buy or Renew a Business Permit<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Renewing an existing permit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You\u2019ll receive a reminder by email or text <strong>30 days before your permit expires<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your details and vehicle registration haven\u2019t changed, you can simply renew your permit through MiPermit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>To renew your permit:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in to your MiPermit account<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>\u201cManage Digital Permits\u201d<\/strong> from the menu ( click on red circle) or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose your current permit <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>\u201cRenew Permit\u201d<\/strong> and follow the on-screen steps<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upload any requested proofs and complete supporting statement<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your contact details or vehicle registration have changed, update these first before renewing your permit.  You can do this by selecting your permit and using the edit options. Any resulting price change will be calculated during the renewal process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Guest house permits<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Guest house permits are available for hotels and similar businesses in residential areas without off-street parking. This includes small hotels, bed and breakfasts, and holiday lets that were operating when the parking zone was introduced and were identified during consultation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Permits cost <strong>\u00a330 for a set of 20 one-day permits<\/strong>. These can be issued as either:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Digital permits<\/strong> \u2013 valid for 24 hours from the chosen start date and time and can be booked in advance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Paper permits<\/strong> \u2013 supplied in a book of 20 and valid until midday the day after the arrival date written in ink on the paper permit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you already have a MiPermit account for your address, log in to purchase permits.
