A licence covers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>scaffolding<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a mobile tower scaffold<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a gantry<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>hoarding<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>fencing (heras)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a rubbish chute<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can apply for multiple items on one application if they are on the same section of the highway or the same building (structures in different locations may need separate applications).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you require additional traffic management, we will collect this as part of this application. However, if you need to use part of the highway for another reason, such as storing materials, you will need to apply for a licence to carry out minor work on the highway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cost<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A licence costs \u00a3158.00. Application costs are exempt from tax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Licences are issued for the dates that the works take place, with a maximum length of 12 weeks; for longer periods you will need to apply for an extension at an additional cost of \u00a3100.00. Amendments to the licence, for example, scaffold dimensions or date changes, will also cost \u00a3100.00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In some instances, a highway officer may have to carry out a site visit. A further charge of \u00a3103.95 will be applied if a site visit takes place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please ensure that you apply for the correct licence as incorrect applications may be subject to an administrative fee. Refunds may be issued in line with our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/roads-and-transport\/highways-traffic-management-refund-guidance\/\">refund guidance<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Timescales<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We need a minimum of 10 working days\u2019 notice to process the application.
