Some changes in the team

Over the last 6 months we have seen quite a few changes in the team which has contributed to the lack of posting and sharing on here but we hope this will change over the coming weeks and months.

1) Russell us left in January to work for Plymouth University as their Social Media Manager – we obviously miss him – but we are also pleased to see him doing really well in his new job.

2) Sam left at the end of May  – we miss him too – to start a new business with a former team member James – they are already doing some amazing things and we wish them both luck in their new venture.

3) We had a new member of the team start – Tom Dixon – Tom will be sharing his first post shortly on his first month in the role and some reflections – it is great to have Tom in the team, he came from our Economy Team and has been involved in a range of innovative projects including the recent FabLabDevon work. Tom can share more about his previous work but it is really good to have him part of the team.

4) We have brought together two previous teams to ensure that we can deliver better and more co-ordinated projects – The Public Information Team and The Web Team – In doing that we now have Kelly, Sarah A, Wendy, Jo and Sarah T as part of the team – they bring a wealth of skills and experience in content design and development, plain english, web design, publishing, publications design, graphic design as well as their fun approach to work. This means we are now broadening and shifting towards a wider Public Information and Access focus with an open by default, digital by design approach.

You will hopefully get to hear more about the work of the wider team as we move forward as I know we have lots of learning and experiences to share.
