About the strategy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy (JHWS) is a plan developed by health and wellbeing boards to improve the health and wellbeing of the local population and reduce health inequalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is based on the findings from the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) and outlines the priorities and actions needed to address the identified health needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The JHWS development is led by the Devon Public Health Intelligence team and is supported by coordinated efforts from representatives across the NHS, district and county councils, police, fire, community and voluntary sector, and other local services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
