It&#8217;s therefore not surprising that sometimes children&#8217;s sexual development can seem out of step with their age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The NSPCC has lots of information about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nspcc.org.uk\/preventing-abuse\/keeping-children-safe\/healthy-sexual-behaviour-children-young-people\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">healthy sexual behaviour<\/a>, including how to keep children safe, warning signs and what to do if you\u2019re worried about sexual abuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Local contraception and sexual health clinics<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.devonsexualhealth.nhs.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Devon Sexual Health<\/a> has lots of useful information and advice about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.devonsexualhealth.nhs.uk\/sex-relationships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sex, health and relationships<\/a>, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.devonsexualhealth.nhs.uk\/contraception\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">contraception<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.devonsexualhealth.nhs.uk\/stis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sexually transmitted diseases<\/a> (including HIV) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.devonsexualhealth.nhs.uk\/stis\/chlamydia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">free chlamydia screening.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can also find out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.devonsexualhealth.nhs.uk\/find-a-service-near-me\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">where your nearest<\/a> sexual health clinic or contraception provider is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Further services<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Young people can also get sexual health information, advice and services from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pharmacies<\/strong> \u2013 many offer free emergency hormonal contraception to young women aged 13-24&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.devonsexualhealth.nhs.uk\/stis\/chlamydia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">chlamydia screening<\/a> for young men and women.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>GP practices<\/strong> \u2013 many offer a full range of contraception as well as chlamydia screening for young people. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nhs.uk\/Service-Search\/GP\/LocationSearch\/4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Find your local GP practice<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Local minor injury units<\/strong> \u2013 some offer emergency contraception, but please telephone first.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Further education (FE) colleges<\/strong> \u2013 nurses offer confidential sexual health drop-ins and can provide free condoms, pregnancy testing, chlamydia screening and emergency contraception.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Schools<\/strong> \u2013 many secondary schools offer confidential sexual health drop-ins and nurses can provide free condoms, pregnancy testing, chlamydia screening and emergency contraception.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Youth services<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 staff provide confidential information and advice and many services provide free condoms, pregnancy testing and chlamydia screening.
