(FOOTPATH 22, WINKLEIGH)
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2021
NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order.
The order came into force on Friday 10 December 2021 and would have expired on Saturday 10th December 2022.
By direction of the Secretary of State in exercise of his powers under Section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the order shall continue in force until Wednesday 1st November 2023 or until works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
No persons shall proceed on the section of the affected path except for access to land or premises on or adjacent to that length of path. The order will continue in force for a period not exceeding six months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
Public rights of way affected:
Footpath No. 22, Winkleigh from Torrington Road across the first field off the road in the direction of Orchard Lakes.
The alternative route is via Torrington Road and along the southern edge of the field. The developer will provide and maintain pedestrian warning triangles on the road.
The closure is necessary to enable the development of 55 new dwellings to be completed.
