South Molton Footpaths 2 and 3 temporary closure

(PUBLIC FOOTPATHS 2 & 3, SOUTH MOLTON)
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2022

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order.

The order came into force on Tuesday, 31st May 2022 and would have expired on Wednesday, 30th November 2022.

By direction of the Secretary of State in exercise of his powers under Section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the order shall continue in force until Wednesday, 31st May 2023 or until works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

No persons shall proceed on the affected paths except for access to land or premises on or adjacent to those lengths of paths. The order will continue in force for a period not exceeding six months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.

Public rights of way affected:
Public Footpath 2, South Molton from Gunswell Lane to Deerhill Lane
Public Footpath 3, South Molton from its junction with Footpath 2 to Deerhill Lane

An alternative route is available – please follow the developer’s signage.

The closure is necessary for public safety during the construction of housing development and the laying out of highways, drainage and other infrastructure.
