FOOTPATH NOS. 112 & 114, ILFRACOMBE
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2021
NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order.
The order came into force on 1 June 2021 and would have expired on 1 December 2022.
By direction of the Secretary of State in exercise of his powers under Section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the order shall continue in force until 1st June 2023 or until works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
No persons shall proceed on the sections of the affected paths except for access to land or premises on or adjacent to those lengths of paths. The order will continue in force for a period not exceeding six months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
Public rights of way affected:
FOOTPATH NO. 112, ILFRACOMBE from SS 52650 47622 to SS 52663 47612.
FOOTPATH NO. 114, ILFRACOMBE from SS 52632 47613 to SS 52678 47612.
The alternative route will be marked by compound fencing and signage around Marine Drive car park area, and then via footway alongside Marine Drive – set of steps leading on to Larkstone Lane – Larkstone Lane – rejoin South West Coast Path. The diversion will be signed on the ground.
The closure is necessary to facilitate building of community water sports centre.
