FOOTPATH NO. 7, DAWLISH

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2020

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order.

The order came into force on 24 August 2020 and would have expired on 7 September 2022.

By direction of the Secretary of State in exercise of his powers under Section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the order shall continue in force until 7 March 2023 or until works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

No persons proceed on the section of the affected path except for access to land or premises on or adjacent to that length of path.

Public rights of way affected:

Footpath No. 7, Dawlish from Colonnade underpass to Coastguard Cottages.

The alternative route is via the signed route: Richmond Place – multi use path – Exeter Road – footbridge to sea wall. Please follow signed route on ground.

The closure is necessary to enable sea wall construction works as part of South West Rail Resilience Programme.
