{"id":7716,"date":"2020-10-12T14:36:00","date_gmt":"2020-10-12T13:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/providerengagementnetwork\/?page_id=7716"},"modified":"2021-05-25T14:53:44","modified_gmt":"2021-05-25T13:53:44","slug":"extra-care","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/providerengagementnetwork\/working-with-devon-county-council\/current-contract-opportunities\/extra-care\/","title":{"rendered":"Extra care housing"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/providerengagementnetwork\/statement\/mps-extra-care-housing\/mps-extra-care\/\">MPS: extra care housing<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Extra care housing (ECH) provides self-contained one or two bedroomed apartments, typically for older people, across a range of tenures and is one of a range of housing with care options available to people to support their independence.<\/p>\n<p>24-hour care and support is available on-site, alongside a range of communal facilities available to support clients and the wider community.<\/p>\n<p>ECH is designed to be a home for life with on-site care and support so that as people\u2019s care needs, or the care needs of their partner, change they can be accommodated without having to move home.<\/p>\n<p>ECH schemes offer a range of on-site and outreach services and provide assistive technology infrastructure and equipment which is flexible to meet the needs of each client.<\/p>\n<p>There are five extra care schemes in the county where County Council clients live, as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Moreton Court \u2013 Sanctuary Group (housing and Care)<\/li>\n<li>Haydon Court \u2013 Aster Group (housing) and Guinness Care and Support (care)<\/li>\n<li>Douro Court \u2013 The Guinness Partnership (housing and care)<\/li>\n<li>Castle Ham Lodge \u2013 The Guinness Partnership (housing and care)<\/li>\n<li>Quayside \u2013 The Guinness Partnership (housing and care)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A new ECH scheme is due to open in Exeter in spring 2021, and a joint tender for a housing and care\/support provider(s) will be run by Exeter City Council in the autumn of 2020.
