Support for care workers – ID and parking
We have had a number of enquiries around care workers who are supporting people in the community who do not have ID badges. A template for the critical worker letter has been emailed to providers by the County Council.
There have also been examples of care workers receiving abuse as they are travelling around the county and people perceive they might be spreading the virus.
Care workers’ passes and badges have been stolen sometimes because it is believed this will give people access to food supplies. To overcome some of these issues care workers may not want to display their badges openly when they are in public and they may also want to cover any uniforms whilst they are travelling.
Carers should protect themselves and report any instances of abuse.
