Data Security Toolkit registration by 30 September
The Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) is a free, online self-assessment for health and care providers to evaluate and improve their data and cyber security.
In the wake of COVID-19, DSPT compliance requirements were paused. However, all CQC-registered care providers must now register for DSPT by 30 September 2020.
Registration is required for care providers to continue accessing NHSmail and Microsoft Teams.
Providers who are not CQC-registered do not have to complete the DSPT but may choose to do so as good practice. A new version of the toolkit will be launched specifically for adult social care providers in October.
