These short informative sessions have been designed and are delivered by nurses and nurse specialists to support the daily care for your clients i.e pressure ulcer prevention, catheter care, oral care, nutrition and hydration.
Restore 2 has been established as a means of early detection of a resident whose condition may be deteriorating.
1) Restore 2 mini which looks at ‘soft signs’ such as increased breathlessness, a change in usual eating or drinking habits and takes just an hour to complete.
2) Restore 2 full which covers not only the ‘soft sign’s but also the taking and recording of vital signs, such as pulse rate, respiration rate, blood pressure etc and this takes 3 hours.
Both courses also cover the escalation process and how to hand over the appropriate information to medical professionals to assist them in prioritising visits to your residents appropriately.
