Decorate a Christmas wreath for Barnstaple Pannier Market
Posted on: 18 October 2019
Barnstaple Town Centre Management are inviting local schools, businesses and community groups to get creative again this Christmas, by designing and decorating a wreath for Barnstaple Pannier Market.
There is no set theme and groups are welcome to choose designs which represent their organisation. The wreaths are 2m in diameter and a set of 20m lights will be supplied. They will then be displayed in Barnstaple Pannier Market as part of this year’s decorations, with a plaque underneath stating who has designed it.
Barnstaple Town Centre Manager, Hannah Harrington, says: “We are delighted to be able to be able to offer this opportunity to local organisations again. The quality of the designs last year was outstanding and we can’t wait to see the creative treatment they will receive this year. I am sure that they will once again make the market look wonderfully festive and attract many more visitors to the market over the Christmas period.”
Executive Member for Economic Development and Strategic Planning Policy – Malcolm Prowse, says: “We are very lucky to have a thriving market in Barnstaple and I would love to encourage local businesses, schools and community groups to take part and bring their unique ideas to life as a Christmas wreath which will go on display for everyone to see.”
