It’s election time

Posted on: 1 May 2019

It’s nearly here – tomorrow (Thursday 2 May) is the North Devon district and parish elections.

We have 100 polling stations in operation across the district, with 240 polling staff in action doing a variety of roles throughout the day. With 73,000 North Devon residents registered to vote it could be a very busy day.

The district count will take place tomorrow following the verification of votes – we have 170 ballot boxes for verification and counting. Verification will start as soon as the first ballot boxes arrive at the count hall following the close of polling stations at 10pm.

Check out our website for the full results which will be updated as soon as we can following the announcement of the final result.

The parish election count is taking place on Friday (3 May) from 10am. These results will also be available on our website towards the end of the day.

We will be providing top tips and reminders throughout election day on our facebook @northdevoncouncil and twitter pages @ndevoncouncil. You can also stay up-to-date with all our democracy and other council news by signing up to our email news service.
