Christmas and New Year waste and recycling collections
Posted on: 11 December 2018
Christmas is fast approaching and North Devon Council are reminding residents to check when their waste and recycling collections will take place over the festive period.
Black bin, garden waste and recycling collections that would have been made between 25 December and 4 January have been changed as follows:
- customers whose collections fall on Christmas Day will instead receive a collection on Saturday 22 December
- Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve collections will be made as usual
- collections due between Wednesday 26 and Friday 28 December will be made one day later (between Thursday 27 and Saturday 29 December)
- collections due between Tuesday 1 January and Friday 4 January will also be made one day later (between Wednesday 2 January and Saturday 5 January)
Collection times may be different from usual, so all bins, boxes and bags should be left at the kerbside the night before a collection, or by 7am on the day of collection at the latest.
North Devon Council’s usual waste and recycling collection schedule will restart on 7 January.
Collection timetables for homes across North Devon are available online to download (northdevon.gov.uk/collectiondates). Enter your postcode to view your collection dates and print off a collection calendar, specifically for your property.
If you don’t have access to the internet, but still require a copy of your refuse calendar, you can contact Customer Services on 01271 374776 (please note Customer Services are closed from 2pm on 24 December, reopening on Wednesday 2 January).Posted in:
