There’s just ten days to go until the best local food producers start cooking up a storm again at Barnstaple Pannier Market.

The 11th North Devon FOODfest returns to Barnstaple on Sunday 21 October, showcasing the tastiest treats the district has to offer. With over 70 exhibitors, street food and entertainment, the annual event is the gastronomic highlight of every foodie’s calendar.

Returning to the chefs stage are Mark Dodson, Thomas Carr and Jamie Coleman, who will be joined this year by Tom Browning, Head Chef at Lewtrenchard Manor in Okehampton. Tom Browning believes in using seasonal, fresh and interesting ingredients and the FOODfest team is looking forward to welcoming him to the stage, alongside hosts Seth Conway and Dez Turland from Brend Hotels.

Barnstaple Town Centre Manager, Hannah Harrington, says: “We can’t wait to welcome Tom to the chefs’ stage, we’re sure he’ll bring something new and exciting to the table alongside our returning professionals, Mark, Thomas and Jamie. The chefs’ demos are a lot of fun, not only do we get to watch top class cooking and ask questions of some of the region’s most talented chefs, we get to taste some amazing food too!”

Executive Member for Economic Development, Councillor Pat Barker: “Just ten days to go until FOODfest and we can’t wait! This year the event is spilling out into Market Street as well as Butchers Row, so we’re promised even more food and entertainment than ever before. Don’t miss out on the taste event of the year.”

FOOFfest runs from 10am to 3.30pm, with free entry to the Pannier Market. Thanks to sponsors Rangemoors, Ashgrove, Johns of Instow and Appledore, Brend Hotels and Barnstaple Town Centre Management.
