Bin advertising scheme to be extended

Local businesses will be given the opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to recycling, in a scheme that will enable them to advertise on recycling bins across the district.
The scheme, which has been successful in Woolacombe and Lynton & Lynmouth for several years, will be expanded across North Devon, in a move agreed by North Devon Council’s Executive members. Businesses and commercial operators will be able to submit a promotional advert to the council and, once approved, it will appear on a recycling bin in the district.
Lead Member for Environment, Councillor Rodney Cann says: “This is a great opportunity for local businesses to get a highly visible promotion for their company, whilst also demonstrating their commitment to protecting the environment for their local community. The scheme has already had great success in some parts of the district, and I am delighted at the decision to roll it out further.”
The scheme will incur a modest one-off sponsorship contribution fee, and will be available from the start of April. If your business is interested in taking part in the scheme please email North Devon Council’s Head of Operations, Ricky McCormack firstname.lastname@example.org.Posted in:
