Yellow heat-health alert in place for South West from Wednesday

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued updated heat-health alerts for parts of England, warning that rising temperatures this week may increase health risks, particularly for vulnerable groups.

A yellow heat-health alert will be in place for South West regions, Yorkshire and the Humber, and West Midlands from 9am, Wednesday 29 July until 9am on Thursday 30 July.

The existing yellow heat-health alert for the East Midlands, East of England, South East and London has been upgraded to amber over the same time period.

There is no alert in place for the North East and North West regions.
