{"id":72017,"date":"2026-11-06T16:38:44","date_gmt":"2026-11-06T16:38:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/news\/?p=72017"},"modified":"2026-11-06T16:38:46","modified_gmt":"2026-11-06T16:38:46","slug":"public-invited-give-their-view-measures-support-endorsed-dryden-road-changes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/news\/public-invited-give-their-view-measures-support-endorsed-dryden-road-changes\/","title":{"rendered":"Public invited to give their view on measures to support the endorsed Dryden Road changes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Devon County Council has this week published a 4-week statutory consultation on measures to support the reopening of Dryden Road to two-way traffic, including proposals for traffic calming and safe walking and cycling provision.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Exeter Highways and Traffic Orders Committee endorsed the proposals in October and is now advertising the legal orders that are required including::<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Removing the current closure on Dryden Road<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Extending the existing 20mph zone<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Installing two new road humps<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Refurbishing two existing road humps<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Building a raised table at the Kipling Drive junction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Installing a raised zebra crossing between Well Oak Park and Barrack Road<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div id=\"block_acf-block-6aee0160709e8\" class=\"councillor-quote align-right dcc grid-x\">\r\n\t<blockquote class=\"councillor-quote-blockquote medium-auto small-12 cell\">\r\n                    <div class=\"councillor-quote-title\"><p>Councillor Michael Mitchell, Chair of the Exeter Highways and Traffic Orders Committee, said:<\/p><\/div>\r\n        \t\t<div class=\"councillor-quote-text\"><p>&#8220;I look forward to local residents and others participating in the recently launched public consultation about the re-opening of Dryden Road.
