{"id":67222,"date":"2025-09-23T10:11:10","date_gmt":"2025-09-23T09:11:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/news\/?p=67222"},"modified":"2025-09-23T10:11:14","modified_gmt":"2025-09-23T09:11:14","slug":"send-strategic-partnership-board-working-together-for-your-childs-success","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/news\/send-strategic-partnership-board-working-together-for-your-childs-success\/","title":{"rendered":"SEND Strategic Partnership Board: Working Together for Your Child\u2019s Success"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The SEND Strategic Partnership Board met again this month to discuss progress with the partnership\u2019s improvement programme.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The purpose of the Strategic Board is to ensure that every child and young person with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in our area receives the right support, at the right time, in the right place.<br><strong><br>Its vision:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Board believes that children and young people with SEND should have the same opportunities as everyone else\u2014to achieve well in their early years, at school and college, and to lead happy, fulfilled lives. It brings together professionals from education, health, and social care to make this vision a reality, supporting children to achieve their best in learning, employment, independent living, and community life.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What it does:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Board oversees and guides all SEND services locally, making sure that support is available early and is tailored to each child\u2019s needs. It works to improve services, monitor progress, and ensure that families\u2019 voices are heard. Our priorities include early identification, joined-up working between services, and clear communication with parents and carers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How it works:<\/strong><br><br>The Board is committed to transparency, accountability, and collaboration. Board members meet regularly to review progress, share updates, and plan improvements.
