The \u2018Restoring Stover Park<\/a>\u2019 project will host the second of its series of six heritage walks next month (March).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its latest walk on Friday 14 March will start at 9:30am and will follow a section of the historic Granite Tramway through woodland, meadow, and quiet lanes to Stover Country Park<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along the way it will explore history, flora and fauna, as well as hearing about the restoration of Stover Park which is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund<\/a>. When the walk has finished, a campfire and delicious hot meal will be waiting in the roundhouse at Stover Country Park at 1pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Booking will include transport from Stover Country Park to the start of the walk, a guided walk to Stover led by qualified guide Emma Cunis, known as \u2018Dartmoor\u2019s Daughter<\/a>\u2019, and lunch around a campfire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund, tickets are available for people living locally to Stover Country Park. There will be a limited number of free bursary spaces available for individuals living on a low income and tickets priced at \u00a310 or \u00a320 for other income levels. Clothing and equipment can also be loaned to people to enable them to take part in the walk (for example waterproof jacket and over-trousers).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
