{"id":55845,"date":"2022-04-05T17:43:11","date_gmt":"2022-04-05T16:43:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/news\/?p=55845"},"modified":"2022-04-05T17:43:14","modified_gmt":"2022-04-05T16:43:14","slug":"wellbeing-support-offered-through-devons-recovery-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/news\/wellbeing-support-offered-through-devons-recovery-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Wellbeing support offered through Devon&#8217;s recovery programme"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Businesses in Devon are now able to access free wellbeing support through a new initiative launched by Devon County Council.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.devoncommunities.org.uk\/projects\/wellbeing-works\" rel=\"noopener\">Wellbeing Works<\/a> is offering support until March 2023, backed with \u00a3100,000 from Devon County Council\u2019s \u00a36 million recovery programme. The initiative is being delivered on behalf of Devon County Council by independent charity Devon Communities Together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wellbeing Works builds upon the Listening Ear pilot project last year which provided business owners with the opportunity to chat informally to an experienced volunteer about whatever was making them feel stressed as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wellbeing Works not only supports businesses but expands its reach to provide support to individuals who are currently in employment, seeking employment, or are entering into the job market. The project is aimed at Devon based small to medium enterprises, employees or individuals over 18 and provides free access to one-to-one wellbeing checks and wellbeing workshops.<\/p>\n\n\n<div id=\"block_624c5e85b879d\" class=\"councillor-quote align-right dcc grid-x\">\r\n\t<blockquote class=\"councillor-quote-blockquote medium-auto small-12 cell\">\r\n                    <div class=\"councillor-quote-title\"><p>Councillor Rufus Gilbert, Cabinet Member for Economic Recovery and Skills, said: <\/p><\/div>\r\n        \t\t<div class=\"councillor-quote-text\"><p>\u201cThe last couple of years of the pandemic have been tough on everyone, and businesses and their staff have had to contend with the most severe impact on economic conditions for generations. This initiative is a good opportunity for Devon based businesses, employees and individuals to benefit from the tools, techniques and inspiration we need to prioritise and develop our wellbeing and resilience during the pandemic recovery period.
