{"id":55014,"date":"2022-02-09T16:28:37","date_gmt":"2022-02-09T16:28:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/news\/?p=55014"},"modified":"2022-02-10T11:18:34","modified_gmt":"2022-02-10T11:18:34","slug":"shaldon-bridge-closed-during-half-term","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/news\/shaldon-bridge-closed-during-half-term\/","title":{"rendered":"Shaldon Bridge closed during half-term"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shaldon Bridge will be closed during the half-term holiday from Monday 21 to Friday 25 February for repair work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The work consists of repairs to where the lifting span and the fixed section of the bridge meet and the further investigation of a defect recently discovered in the bridge\u2019s lifting chamber.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the closure, maintenance teams will take the opportunity to clean the gullies.<\/p>\n\n\n<div id=\"block_6203eb3e1b05e\" class=\"councillor-quote align-right dcc grid-x\">\r\n\t<blockquote class=\"councillor-quote-blockquote medium-auto small-12 cell\">\r\n                    <div class=\"councillor-quote-title\"><p>Councillor Stuart Hughes, Devon County Council\u2019s Cabinet Member for Highways Management said:<\/p><\/div>\r\n        \t\t<div class=\"councillor-quote-text\"><p>\u201cWe apologise for the inconvenience, however the work has to be done.
