Public invited to give their view on measures to support the endorsed Dryden Road changes

Dryden Road, bollards to prevent vehicular access

Devon County Council has this week published a 4-week statutory consultation on measures to support the reopening of Dryden Road to two-way traffic, including proposals for traffic calming and safe walking and cycling provision.

The Exeter Highways and Traffic Orders Committee endorsed the proposals in October and is now advertising the legal orders that are required including::

Councillor Michael Mitchell, Chair of the Exeter Highways and Traffic Orders Committee, said:

“I look forward to local residents and others participating in the recently launched public consultation about the re-opening of Dryden Road. Whilst there are a wide range of views regarding the re-opening of Dryden Road this consultation will enable the public to have their say on the details of the proposed scheme.

“Following this consultation a report will come back to councillors for their consideration, so it is important that people participate in the consultation to ensure their views are included in the report.”

Full details are available at devon.cc/tro, under references 6407 and 6408, and at County Hall’s main reception.
