Part of the Exe Estuary Trail at Green Lane, Exton, will be closed for up to two weeks from February 19 to repair the surface which was recently damaged by Storm Isha.
The repairs include replacing 85m of worn-out drainpipe, installing additional gullies to catch surface water and resurfacing work.
Unfortunately, due to the narrow width of the trail at this point, it will not be possible to accommodate the public through the work site while the work is under way due to operating machinery and open trenches.
There will be a signed diversion in place following quiet lanes and using existing crossing points with traffic lights where it crosses the A376.
