Last Thursday (27 March), we arranged a special Iftar so that our young asylum seekers could come together to celebrate Ramadan.
32 young people and six workers got together at the Istanbul restaurant in Exeter to enjoy a wonderful evening of conversation, food, and friendship.
The young people said:
- “Great vibes and great food; it’s been a very special evening”
- “Perfect evening – lots of people and different cultures and countries all coming together”
- “This evening I met lots of friends and I learned about different cultures. Thank you to Devon County Council for inviting us”
A big thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible!
