On the 31st January 2019\u00a0the NDLR planning application was reviewed at planning committee, where it was conditionally granted after receiving unanimous approval. The application covered the ‘Main Works’\u00a0portion of the scheme: road widening and the introduction of\u00a0WS2+1 carriageway on\u00a03 sections\u00a0between South Molton and Barnstaple, and upgrades to\u00a0the Landkey\u00a0& West Buckland Junctions.<\/p>\n
The granting of planning permission\u00a0is a milestone achievement for the scheme\u00a0which\u00a0has been achieved nearly 2 months ahead of programme. It is\u00a0the result of extensive consultation with statutory bodies including Natural England, Historic England and the Environment Agency,\u00a0which lead\u00a0to no statutory objections being raised.<\/p>\n
