A new railway station is being developed at Marsh Barton, situated on the Exeter to Newton Abbot line, south of Clapperbrook Lane adjacent to the New Energy from Waste Plant.<\/p>\n

The station, which will feature two platforms, will be located near the Energy from Waste plant on the eastern edge of Marsh Barton.<\/p>\n

Devon County Council has designed the station working closely with Network Rail and GWR<\/a>. It will provide sustainable transport access to Marsh Barton, one of the key employment areas of the city where more than 7,000 people work.<\/p>\n

The scheme, which is being delivered by Graham Construction Ltd, will also include the development of a new pedestrian and cycle bridge which will connect to the station and will improve active travel links between Alphington, Marsh Barton and the Riverside Valley Park.<\/p>\n
