You can find information about how long we keep different types of records – evidence of decisions and transactions – \u00a0by using a keyword search.<\/p>\n
You do not have to know our organisational structure or even which category they are under.<\/p>\n
When you search you will find details of the type of record and a statement of how long they are kept for, from when and why, which will usually be an Act, a Regulation or our own decision.<\/p>\n
Retention policies apply whether the records are electronic or paper and regardless of where they are stored.<\/p>\n
The retention schedule has been adapted from a national standard with input from the relevant services across the Council.
