The first ever Fab Lab based in a public library is set to open its doors this week as Exeter Central Library reopens after a multi-million pound refurbishment.
Fab Lab Exeter will provide a low cost digital fabrication space for start-ups and entrepreneurs, providing affordable access to a range of digital fabrication machinery like 3D printers a CNC Router and laser cutter.
This amazing facility sits alongside a business support and Intellectual Property support hub for local businesses, providing a one-stop-shop for people looking to develop a new technology and ideas.
A similar facility is also set to open this summer at King Edward VI Community College in Totnes, forming the basis for a network of Fab Labs around Devon and the region.
