Riverford Organic Farms

Based in Devon between Buckfastleigh and Totnes, Riverford has expanded and now has farms in Cambridgeshire, Yorkshire and Hampshire. They deliver over 40,000 organic vegetable boxes a week to homes around the UK.

Supacat is an innovative engineering and design business and a market leader in high-mobility, all terrain vehicles and other land transport systems for specialist use. They were established in 1981.

3D Solutions

SRA Developments

SRA Developments was founded in 1978 as a one man consultancy and has since become a market leader in ultrasonic medical products. Graphic PLC

Established more than 40 years ago, Graphic PLC offers some of the most advanced Printed Circuit Board (PCB) technology available today. Its technology is at the heart of products for leading businesses around the world, including BAE Systems, Sony and Hewlett Packard.


Simpleware develops software which accurately converts 3D computer images into Computer Aided Design (CAD) and numerical models for research and development in a number of different fields, ranging from medicine to geology and natural sciences. Its software has featured on the Discovery Channel and the BBC.

Ashwoods Automotive

Over the past four years Exeter based Ashwoods Automotive has become the UK’s leading supplier of hybrid commercial vehicles. Since moving to Devon in 2008, the company hasexpanded from a turnover of around £600,000 a year to almost £6 million and now employs 30 people.

Eclipse Internet

Award-winning Eclipse Internet was established in 1995 and is one of the UK’s longest established Internet Service Providers. Now part of Kingston Communications, the company continues to be based in Exeter where it is a major employer with over 100 employees.

Venus Company

Co-founders, Michael and Louisa Smith, with Lee Porter, started the business in 1995 with the aim of creating the greenest beach cafe and shop operator. Today the company serves local and organic produce to over 850,000 customers a year, turns over more than £2 million and employs 27 core employees.

Waveguide Solution

Based in Newton Abbot, The Waveguide Solution develops and manufactures an unrivalled range of precision waveguide systems and waveguide components for the military radar, medical, aerospace and communication industries worldwide.

South Devon Chilli Farm

Since its launch the chilli farm has seen fantastic growth, both in terms of plantings and national, and increasingly, international demand. Jason and Steve now employ 12 staff members and grow over 10,000 chilli plants each year, harvesting tonnes of fresh chillies as a result.

TDK Lambda

Since 1948 TDK-Lambda has been a global leader in the development and manufacture of AC-DC power supplies and DC-DC converters. TDK-Lambda is the second largest employer in Ilfracombe with an annual turnover of £40 million generated by 321 employees.
