{"id":7657,"date":"2023-06-05T10:52:53","date_gmt":"2023-06-05T10:52:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/haveyoursay\/?post_type=consultation&#038;p=7657"},"modified":"2023-06-05T10:52:53","modified_gmt":"2023-06-05T10:52:53","slug":"mill-water-school-proposal-to-increase-places-from-100-to-112","status":"publish","type":"consultation","link":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/haveyoursay\/consultations\/mill-water-school-proposal-to-increase-places-from-100-to-112\/","title":{"rendered":"Mill Water School: Proposal to increase places from 100 to 112"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Governing Board of Mill Water School and Devon County Council are formally consulting on a proposal to increase the number of places from 100 to 112 in the age range 3-16 at Mill Water School from September 2023.<\/p>\n<p>There is a pressure on special school places across the County resulting in the need to commission the independent sector which is costly and subject to the risk of market failure.<\/p>\n<p>The SEN Strategic Review, endorsed by Devon County Council\u2019s Cabinet in March 2018, identified a strategic need for increased specialist places to meet the increasing demand.
