A public consultation is being held in Newton Abbot on people\u2019s attitudes towards a possible community-wide 20 miles per hour (mph) speed limit.<\/p>\n

The public consultation is being held in partnership with Newton Abbot Town Council and Teignbridge District Council.<\/p>\n

A special task group was set up to look at the issue and in 2019 Devon County Council’s Cabinet<\/a> approved their recommendations to investigate the viability and delivery of a community 20mph speed limit.<\/p>\n

A Newton Abbot 20 website<\/a> has been created to provide more information – including the background to the scheme, what’s happened so far and what is being proposed.<\/p>\n

This consultation will help inform any future plans. Please read the information provided and have your say using our online questionnaire.<\/p>\n

You can access the consultation through a link on the Newton Abbot 20 website home page<\/a>. The consultation will run from Monday 25 October 2021 until Thursday 25 November 2021.<\/p>\n

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, no physical consultation events will be held.<\/p>\n
