This change is considered a <strong>significant alteration<\/strong> under Department for Education (DfE) guidance and requires formal consultation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Educational Reasons for the Change<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Improved School Readiness:<\/strong> High-quality early years education supports children\u2019s social, emotional, and language development, ensuring they are better prepared for Reception.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Continuity of Learning:<\/strong> Offering nursery places within the school provides a seamless transition into primary education, reducing anxiety and improving outcomes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Meeting Local Need:<\/strong> There is increasing demand for funded early years places for 3-year-olds in our community. This proposal will help meet that need.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Raising Standards:<\/strong> Evidence shows that early intervention narrows attainment gaps and supports disadvantaged pupils, aligning with our commitment to inclusion and excellence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Consultation Details<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The consultation will run for <strong>four weeks<\/strong>, starting:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Start Date:<\/strong> Tuesday <strong>13 January 2026<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>End Date:<\/strong> Tuesday <strong>10 February 2026<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can respond by email to: <strong><a href=\"mailto:admin@wynstreamprimary.org.uk\">admin@wynstreamprimary.org.uk<\/a><\/strong> or in writing to the school office.
